RUF Large Group meets every Tuesday in AMB 210 at 7:30 pm
What is RUF Large Group?
This is a weekly, one hour(ish) long, night of worship, biblical teaching, and fellowship. For many people, our large group meeting is the entry point into RUF, and like everything we do, it's a meeting directed toward all kinds of people - regardless of one's spiritual background, beliefs, doubts, or questions. This is a place for you to ask questions and explore Christianity if you are unsure of your beliefs or to grow in your understanding of the gospel and its impact on all areas of our lives. So regardless of where you stand, we would love to have you join us.
What should I expect?
Large Group is very casual. We meet in a large classroom (AMB 210), and there are almost always new visitors. We invite you to participate as much as you'd like in the worship, but you are also welcome to just come and observe. You will probably be greeted by a number of people who will be excited to meet you, but you won't be pressured to sign up, join, or believe anything.
We open the night with some music, led by our student worship team. We believe that the songs we sing are one of the most important ways we model what the normal Christian life feels like. Our worship includes both modern praise songs as well as traditional hymns, often set to newer music.
After the singing, our campus minister will preach a message from the Bible. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and it is the source of everything we do. We believe it's the primary way God has given us to connect with Him.
We'd love for you to come visit Large Group!
